I got my first wheaten 28 years ago and thought where have you been all my life? As a vet tech I had worked with many breeds but had never met a wheaten. When one of my children developed allergies I had to find a non shedding breed that was good with kids. The wheaten certainly fit the bill. I have been breeding them for over 26 years and couldn't be prouder of my puppies and mommies. The puppies are raised in our house, they're handled daily with lots of love and care. They're kid tested by my grandchildren and are certified chick magnets. Puppies are weaned around 4-5 weeks. They are vet checked around 8 weeks before they go home. They will be up to date on all vaccinations and dewormed. They come with a one year health guarantee. This breed does well with everyone, kids especially. They are a constant source of companionship, amusement and of course that unconditional love. The non-shedding is such a bonus! They have been the perfect breed for our family in every way, perfect size, great personality, rugged, healthy, good natured, very tolerant of our 6 kids and now the grandkids. They are little people pleasers who just want to be part of the family. They go everywhere with us, love the water, running in the woods, walking on the leash, riding in the boat and hopping into strangers cars. My wheatens all have amusing little quirks which we find hilarious; they all hate the rain but love the snow, sleep with their legs in the air or hanging off the bed, are constantly stock me everywhere I go, my husband calls them my groupies.... overall they are just a bundle of love and fun.
